I was in the same room as Bob Barker today.

I bet you never guessed before that the audience of the Price is Right is only 300 people. They just use camera tricks to make it look like a lot of people. I didn't get called down because I wasn't obnoxious enough during the interview, but I'm pretty sure I'll still be on TV since the audience is so small.

Bob is the coolest guy ever. During commercial breaks he'd let us ask any question we wanted. Someone asked him how he liked making a film with Adam Sandler. He answered that it was great, they were going to make a Happy Gilmore 2 but Sandler's doctors said he couldn't handle another beating.

Tommorrow I'll be in the Ellen Degeneres Show audience, you could watch my sick dance moves when it airs on friday.

Well I'm done with my freshmen year of college. Tonight is my last night in Rexburg Idaho. I'll coming home May 7, after a trip to California... good thing I JUST STARTED MAKING FRIENDS HERE. so bittersweet.

I live in the most Republican state, in the most republican county of Idaho. I used to think I was pretty conservative until I came to this school.

Heres a little excerpt of the Rebublican stance from our School Newspaper:

"Do you ever get tired? Tired of what's going on in the world and this country? Are you tired of foreign thugs who can't think of anything but to hurt us? Tired of the government taxing anything and everything? Are you tired of the trash being taught in public schools? Tired of dirty hippies who protest everything good and decent? so at least 4 times a day, after i've introduced myself as Mary people thinking they are clever ask, "mary mary quite contrary how does your garden grow?"

Instead of giving these people death stares I decided to look up the rest of that stupid rhyme so I could answer them and make they feel really stupid.

Mary Mary quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells and cockle shells
And pretty maids all in a row.

I came across way funnier information though.

The origins of this rhyme came from Bloody Mary. Queen Mary was a Catholic and the garden represents graveyards which were increasing in size with those who dared follow a different faith. The silver bells and cockle shells referred to instruments of torture. The 'silver bells' were thumbscrews which crushed the thumb between two hard surfaces by the tightening a screw. The 'cockleshells' were instruments of torture which were attached to the genitals.

So now when people ask me how my garden grows i'll just cockle-shell them.

Long time no see.

I realised that last semester i kept up with people through livejournal, and now that i dont go on livejournal or AIM i really don't know whats going on with anyone. So heres the update on me. I'll read past entires about you.

- sam and i are still dating
- I'm on a soccer team, i'm the only girl. I get beat up, its fun
- I'm on the track team. Its such a joke, because we don't have real sports here. BHS was more intense.
- I caught myself saying "thank you" to my printer after it spit out my paper. I need more sleep.
- I went to salt lake this past weekend and went to this awesome place filled with inflatable obstacle courses. We were the oldest ones there. When we asked some 5-year-olds to leave so we could race, they ganged up on us and started screaming "NO!" Stupid utah kids who aren't afraid of teenagers. I'll teach them to be afraid.
- I met a guy from alaska that said its colder here in idaho than where he's from.
- yeah and fun stuff i can't remember.

I'm so glad to be back in Rhode Island. I ALMOST accomplished my goal of seeing everyone I wanted to see all in ONE DAY.

Its so nice to be around the people that liked me in High School even though I was an awkward loser. You guys rule so much.

I hate when i have to talk about my college because when I describe it, it sounds so terrible. I don't know, I kind of like it. Its weird. The whole day has been a confusing blur for me.

I'm going to see The Lion King on Broadway tommarow. I've never seen a broadway show before. It should be cool. I guess i'm excited about thanksgiving too? haha what a dumb holiday. Oh well at least it gave me a reason to come home. For that I'm most greatful.

It snowed today here. It was pretty funny all of the sudden i heard a million people from their dorms screaming. I was like whats the big deal, its not like you've never seen snow before. Then i realised that 80% of the people here are from California and they really haven't. It was pretty exciting. They were all like little kids... Some people are so sheltered.

I went to Salt Lake City for labor day weekend. It was sweet. Its fun to get off campus and see normal people for a change.

I think i'll have a picture of the week instead of wasting time writing about this place.

here's a fun picture i took today. Its of a college mother mowing her lawn while carrying her kid in a backpack. I couldn't get very good quality since we were in a car, and driving any closer to her would have been extremely sketchy. Warning: don't get married and have kids in college.

My college is weird. I'm pretty sure 90% of the people that come here get married and have babies. I walk around campus and see pacifiers on the ground. Its soooo weird. Heres a car from a newley wedded couple. Its says "be fruitful and multiply" in case you couldn't tell. Therefore as soon as you get married you must pop out babies. So weird.

hahahaha this college is crazy, sometimes crazy cool sometimes crazy terrible.

Crazy terrible:
-AIM IS BLOCKED...yep thats right i'm not allowed to have contact with people apparently, i haven't had a chance to ask someone about this horrid rule, but if they don't change it then people are going to have to update livejournals more often and write me emails. ( my email: MML2soccer@aol.com)
-other random rules i don't even begin to understand (too many to list)
- i was outside in the sun today and got a sunburn on my neck, so i'm literally a red-neck. Which sucks because i hate those.

Crazy awesome:
-Mormons are wicked friendly, so no one intimidates me here. Its pretty good because i think i would have an awful time making friends if they weren't.
-When you go to Walmart here, you DONT see white trash everywhere. Its kind of a mormon rule to be clean and modest, and since everyone in Rexburg Idaho is mormon, the Walmart customers don't look like they are going to mug me any minute.
-Tonight they had this carnival thingy kind of like our afterprom. I did gladiator jousting, mechanical bull,entered a break dance contest (i was 1 of 2 girls in it, it was pretty sweet i felt brave even though i probably sucked a lot). I watchd a lot of other entertaining things. It ruled.
- They had a Napoleon Dynamite dance contest. They played that song "canned heat" or whatever and like 5 guys up and did the coreographed dance. Where but Idaho would you find people that actually know that dance? I could't get over how cool that was.

So yeah with the good comes the bad. I think i'll be able to stick through it.I'm going to update a lot more, and about less and less amusing things, but i dont have anything else so amuse myself with on the computer since AIM and myspace are both blocked. Or i could just focus on school work...but whats the fun in that?
